Edmund Agyekum is pursuing a double major in Physics and Engineering. He is a student leader of the International Student Organization as well as a council member for Afro H.A.M.W.E. and is now part of Residence Life. Edmund was born and raised in Accra, the capital of Ghana, and therefore has a wide perspective on different societies and people and their unique functioning. He has a passion for and deep interest in technology and because of that works at the Center for Technology Services at Gordon College. Edmund hopes to combine this passion with the knowledge he has gained to pursue ways in which technology can improve the lives of others.
Mariah Brecheisen ‘23

Mariah Brecheisen is a Clarendon Scholar from Chicago, IL. Growing up as a ministry kid on the West Side of the city has given her a passion for inner-city ministry, urban development, and racial conciliation. At Gordon, she has served as a peer mentor for The Great Conversation first-year writing program, a teaching assistant in the Computer Science department, and a Clarendon Academic Intern. The work at Gordon most important to Mariah is serving as Vice President of A.L.A.N.A., which stands for African American, Latin American, Asian American, and Native American Allies. Outside of Gordon, Mariah has worked as a Software Development Engineer Intern at Amazon for two summers. Mariah hopes to use technology to build bridges and to serve the underserved and marginalized in urban communities. Outside of work, Mariah loves reading, playing basketball, and exploring God's creation.
Luckson Dambo ‘22

Luckson Dambo was born and raised in Zimbabwe. Luckson is a first-generation college student, studying Psychology to develop transferable skills in supporting children with emotional, behavioral, and learning troubles. At Gordon, Luckson has been a finalist in the Social Venture Challenge, a member of the Gordon Men’s Soccer Team, Head Chapel Checker, Athletics Broadcaster, and most recently a Senior Recruiting Assistant in Admissions. Luckson has also served the College’s Multicultural Initiative Office (MIO) as a MIO Ambassador, and currently as President of the AFRO Hamwe Club.
Sophia Mammana ‘22

Sophia is a senior studying business administration and Spanish. Her love of language and culture has taken her to several different countries. Most recently, in the summer of 2019, she participated in a month-long internship in Quito, Ecuador, working at For His Children, a Christ-centered ministry that cares for abandoned and neglected children. This experience gave Sophia the invaluable opportunity to witness what it takes to run an organization while simultaneously spreading the love of God. At Gordon, she is a member of the Women’s Soccer team and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She also serves as an academic peer advisor and teaching assistant for the business department. Outside of her studies, Sophia enjoys connecting with people, especially over a cup of coffee. After Gordon, she hopes to continue her education and pursue a career in cross-cultural business consulting, bringing the love of Christ with her.
Callum Owen ‘22

Callum Owen has spent his 21 years living across the country, and the world, but he has always thought of New England as home. At Gordon, Callum is a manager for the Men’s Soccer team, as well as a member of the Biology Club, American Scientific Affiliation, and a former Student Ambassador. An aspiring researcher, he has interned under scientists at private companies Elucida Research and Adaptive Phage Therapeutics. He is currently part of a team studying the Chebacco watershed here on campus. When not in class, Callum enjoys exploring the mountains of northern New England and working at athletic events. After Gordon, he plans to continue his education in the fields of microbiology and biochemistry.
Paul Paccione ‘22

Paul Paccione aspires to start his career in financial analysis and grow into asset management, where he hopes to use his analytical skills and love for numbers to contribute positively to people and the institutions that bring them together. Having grown up in Central Florida, Paul looks forward to the holidays when he can escape from the New England snow to the sunshine of his home state. From working within the Master of Science in Financial Analysis program to running intramurals with Rec-IM, there is no shortage of Paul’s involvement on Gordon’s campus. Outside of Gordon, he has worked with a variety of organizations including Fidelity Investments, TedxWallstreet, and Evōk Advertising. Apart from school and work, Paul enjoys catching Red Sox games at Fenway Park and dining in the city, especially the North End.
Miranda Pomphrett ‘22

Miranda Pomphrett is an A.J. Gordon Scholar majoring in Biology with a minor in Neuroscience. The Lord has given Miranda a passion for serving others along with a love for science, which she desires to cultivate through pursuing a career in medicine. At Gordon, Miranda has enjoyed conducting neuroscience research with EEG technology, leading the Biology club, working as a Teaching Assistant for various science courses, and serving as a Student Ambassador. Beyond the classroom, Miranda enjoys leading a small group of high school students at her local church, spending time in nature (especially hiking in the White Mountains of New Hampshire), and reading a good book with a cup of coffee. After graduating, Miranda plans to attend medical school and aspires to serve the Lord through medical missions locally or globally, according to His call.
Claudia Sahaj ‘22

Claudia is a senior studying International Affairs with a concentration in International Development and a minor in Education. The Lord has grown in her a deeply rooted passion for education and its role in equipping a person to be a life-long learner and leader. At Gordon, Claudia has served as a leader of the United Prayer Ministry, a community tutor with the REAL program in Lynn, a member of the Nepal Missions team, and a volunteer with Local Outreach. Most recently, Claudia participated in the Balkans Semester for the Study of War and Peace which has broadened her perspectives in building sustainable peace and conflict transformation. Outside of her studies, Claudia loves singing, spending time with friends and family, and traveling the world. After Gordon, Claudia hopes to earn a graduate degree and continue work to ensure and advocate for access to education.
Sarah Sierzenga ‘23

Sarah Sierzenga is a junior studying biology with a concentration in biotechnology and a minor in chemistry. Sarah is a former member of the Women's Soccer teamand enjoys attending events held by student organizations. She has worked as a teaching assistant for the Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics departments on campus and spent the past summer in Gordon's Statistical Data Analysis Practicum. Sarah grew up in Upstate New York, spending lots of time outdoors and in nature. Outside her studies, she enjoys game nights, reading, and spending time with her family.
Serafina Zotter ‘23

Serafina is an Austrian-Ethiopian-American who grew up in a very international community, being educated in the French and Austrian schooling systems. She is driven by her love for medicine, helping others, and her passion to see the health care sector changed for the glory of God. Her experiences working at the First Vienna Pediatric Medical Center and the Medical University of Vienna have strengthened her conviction to help provide excellent medical care globally as a pediatrician. At Gordon, Serafina has served as Program Assistant in the Career and Connections Institute, research assistant in the biology department, tutor in biology, Vice President of the American Scientific Affiliation, and teaching assistant for the French department. She has also enjoyed her time as a member of the Jerusalem and Athens Forum, serving in Residence Life and worshipping with the One Body Worship Team. Outside of classes and work, Serafina loves reading, skiing, and playing the piano.
