Dolapo Anyanwu ‘15

Dolapo Anyanwu is a senior majoring in Psychology, with minors in Business and English. Before Gordon, she has earned an HND in Mass Communications from Moshood Abiola Polytechnic in Nigeria and a Diploma in French language from the University of Cheikh Anta Diop in Senegal. In addition, she worked as a volunteer with Calvary Ministries (Nigeria) and Frontiers (UK) serving cross-culturally in Senegal and in Morocco. At Gordon, she has consistently received Presidential Honors; won the Harold Myra Scholarship for Academic Excellence in 2012-2013 and in 2013-2014 was awarded the Luke A. and Mary Moore Wood Memorial Scholarship for best student in Behavioral and Social Sciences. Dolapo also served as a teaching assistant for the Intro to Psychology course and worked as a research assistant, studying access to higher education in rural New Hampshire. She is currently a mentor in the Companions for the Journey program. Outside of Gordon, Dolapo worked as an intern at Lahey Health Behavioral Services and as a volunteer with the Embark Transition Program and the North East Arc. She attends First Presbyterian Church, North Shore, where she serves as a nursery helper and is a member of the Fellowship Committee. Dolapo hopes to study international development in graduate school and to later work with an international NGO in Africa.
HanByul Chang ‘15

HanByul Chang is an A.J Gordon Scholar majoring in chemistry and pursuing a minor in pre-law. Academically, she has been an officer in the Gordon Student Chapter of the American Chemical Society for two years. She was awarded the National ACS Student Leadership Award, Division of Environmental Chemistry Award, Gordon Chemistry Achievement Award, Harold Myra Scholarship, Luke A. and Mary Moore Wood Memorial Scholarship, and Faculty Scholarship. She has been doing research in the chemistry department since the second semester of her freshman year. She spent the summer of 2013 at the University of Ulm in Ulm, Germany in a surface and eletrocatalysis lab. During academic year 2013-2014, HanByul worked in the Office of the Executive Vice President helping with projects concerning international students and internships, and in the Office of Institutional Research and Strategy, where she assisted with institutional analysis and strategic planning for the College. She has also worked in the student ministries office as the Overseas Missions Intern and as a small group facilitator for the A.J. Scholars program. HanByul also enjoys music and has played in the Gordon College wind ensemble and Symphony Orchestra. She is now in the process of finishing her senior honors thesis that she will defend in December 2014. After graduation, HanByul is hoping to work at a pharmaceutical company for a couple years before pursuing a Master’s degree in forensic chemistry.
Kelley Chang-Fong ‘15

Kelley Chang-Fong is an A.J. Gordon Scholar with presidential honors studying International Affairs, Political Science, and Pre-Law. She serves as the director of the Social Justice Initiative, Gordon's student council for human rights, and as a member of the Mock Trial team and Model United Nations team at Gordon. As a member of Gordon's Model United Nations team, Kelley has represented Gordon at the Harvard University and University of Pennsylvania Model United Nations conferences. During her time at Gordon, she has also interned with the Family Estate Planning Law Group and at the law firm WaltersLacey LLP, and spent a semester studying abroad in Aix-en-Provence, France. Kelley has worked in the Alumni and Parent Relations Office and the Center for Student Development at the College, and as a staff member for Elevate, Gordon's leadership development program for exceptional high school students. After graduating, Kelley plans to attend law school and aspires to work in the field of international law to advance human rights worldwide through the development of government policy.
William Hagen ‘15

William Hagen is an A.J. Gordon Fellow majoring in English and has received Presidential Honors. During his time at Gordon, William has served as representative at large for the Gordon College Student Association, peer mentor, and student ambassador. William has also worked as a Research Assistant, as Director of External Affairs for Scot Radio, and as a Quality Assurance Assistant at Albany Molecular Research Incorporated. Before coming to Gordon, William was recognized for his community service at the Eddy Senior Service Center by the county legislature and the Albany-based newspaper Times Union. After graduating, William plans to work for a few years before attending graduate school.
Zachary Hall ’16

Zachary Hall is an A. J. Gordon Scholar pursuing a double major in economics and mathematics, and a minor in business administration. In the summer of 2014 he interned at Hope Africa Collective in the township of Philippi, South Africa where he developed and taught a financial literacy course to Hope Africa’s local Xhosa students. Adding to his global experience, he participated in the China Seminar in which he studied China’s economic history, traveled to China’s major cities, and visited China’s leading factories, firms, and universities. He has also lived and worked in Mexico and the Dominican Republic. At Gordon, he is a second-year captain of the men’s varsity tennis team. His leadership position on the team involves organizing team events, running dozens of off-season practices, and assisting with recruiting. In the Commonwealth Coast Conference Zach has received recognition as Rookie of the Year, First Team All-Conference for singles and doubles play, and Academic All-Conference. After Gordon, Zachary hopes to begin an analytical business career with a platform for marketplace ministry before he attends graduate school to study finance.
Aaron Hicks ‘16

Aaron Hicks is a junior majoring in psychology and minoring in business administration. He is a graduate of Conestoga High School in Pennsylvania. While at Gordon, Aaron has been involved in the Gordon College Student Association, Worship Cabinet, and Reveal program. As a former co-leader of Gordon College’s Morning Chapel Band, and currently the Chapel Band Intern, he actively unites the Gordon community in fellowship and worship. Outside of Gordon, Aaron has worked as a Research Analyst with Sales Research Group, and as an intern for the student ministries department of Church of the Saviour in Wayne, Pennsylvania. He has led three international mission trips to Costa Rica and Serbia, and was a founding member of the homeless ministry Project 25:35. Aaron’s musical accomplishments include the production and release of a full-length album, receiving honorable mention in the international Song of the Year competition, and being featured multiple times in Gordon’s literary magazine, The Idiom. After Gordon, Aaron aspires to a career in organizational psychology, with a focus on leadership development.
Joshua Hill ‘16

Joshua Hill is a liver and a learner. A finance and economics double major, A.J. Gordon Scholar, and National Merit Scholar, he relishes the opportunity to improve himself and the world around him. Born and raised in Camas, Washington, he graduated high school as Valedictorian and received the Washington State Honors Award. During high school he was a multi-sport athlete who served in student government, National Honor Society, and was involved in youth leadership at his church. Beyond academics, Josh is passionate about glorifying God in all spheres of life—whether that takes the form of poverty alleviation, youth development, or physical activity. Though he is particularly fond of the outdoors, where he is often found backpacking, kayaking, or playing sports, you will also frequently find Josh caught between the pages of a good book. Upon coming to Gordon, where he has served as a Resident Advisor on campus and a mathematics tutor in Lynn, Josh began to explore what a professional career as a Christian will look like. Though he is interested in the integration of ardent Christian faith within leadership positions of major corporations, he remains open to where the Lord will call him next in life’s adventure.
Ean Mullins ‘15

Ean Mullins is a double major in biology and chemistry, focusing on biotechnology and biochemistry. He is a National Merit Scholar, A.J. Gordon Scholar, Robert B. and Sophia Whiteside Scholar, Eagle Scout, and recipient of Presidential Honors. At Gordon, Ean has developed a professional development program called Launch (www.gordon.edu/launch), which is being run for the first time this academic year. In his academic research, Ean has worked with Dr. Justin Topp to study Alsin, a neuronal protein associated with Juvenile ALS. Ean has also served as the president of the Gordon College Biology Club, a student ambassador, a teaching assistant, a resident advisor, a writing intern, and a cofounder/student leader of Gordon College Big Brothers Big Sisters program. Outside of Gordon, he has worked as a summer research intern at the Environmental Protection Agency and at Cell Assay Innovations. After graduating, Ean intends to pursue a Ph.D. then enter the biotechnology community by starting a company.
Stevie Schweighardt ‘15

Stevie Schweighardt is a senior from San Diego, California, majoring in communication arts. She is a graduate of La Jolla High School where she competed at the Junior Olympics for water polo, and rowed for the San Diego Rowing Club in the Youth National Championships. At Gordon, Stevie has participated in the Gordon College Student Association as the freshman class representative and the executive secretary. She served as a student ambassador and president of the Gordon College Film Society, completing six short films, all of which were showcased in Gordon’s Student Film Series and the Gordon Globes. She has worked at the Bennett Center as a pool lifeguard, swim instructor, and dodge ball referee. Stevie spent the summer of 2013 studying with Gordon College’s Salzburg Institute in Austria. She then spent the fall semester at Bishop Appasamy College in India, where she interned for the Best Semester program. Beyond Gordon, Stevie is an ocean lifeguard for the City of San Diego and works for Rickaroons. After graduation, Stevie looks forward to traveling around the world and meeting interesting people whose stories she can share through film.
Monica Wong ‘15

Monica Wong is majoring in human and organizational development. She is a recipient of the George F. Bennett Leadership Award, the Dick and Jody Gross Servant Leadership Scholarship, and Presidential Honors. Monica has participated in The Elijah Project, an honors program focused on exploring questions of vocation and calling as well as The Kenneth L. Pike Honors Program, which allowed her to design an interdisciplinary contract major. She served on the Campus Events Council for two years as the director and freshman class coordinator, was a peer mentor through Gordon’s IRON program, and worked for the Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff as an enrollment management assistant. Outside of Gordon, Monica has interned for Fair Trade Boston and more recently, Q Ideas in New York City. Monica is interested in pursuing a career in consulting focusing on interpersonal communication, team dynamics, and personal growth.
