Reid Maclellan, M.D. is the Founder and CEO of Cortina Health, Inc. Dr. Maclellan is also an Adjunct Professor of Plastic Surgery at both Harvard Medical School and Boston Children’s Hospital where he practices and teaches translational medical research. Cortina Health is an artificial intelligence healthcare company. Its mission is to democratize elite dermatology. Cortina Health combines its proprietary AI-assisted teledermatology solution with its national network of board-certified dermatologists to provide patients with an immediate diagnosis and treatment plan all from the comfort of the patient’s home. Cortina’s compounding pharmacy then formulates and delivers the customized medications to the patient’s doorstep. Cortina’s platform automatically connects with the patient regularly to ensure a true continuity of care.
In addition to serving as the CEO of Cortina Health, Dr. Maclellan is a proud trustee of Gordon College. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for five additional organizations. He serves on the International Councilors of the Harvard Kennedy School Belfer Center for Science & International Affairs (Cambridge, MA). He sits on all three of the Maclellan Family Foundations’ boards: Maclellan Foundation Inc, Christian Education Charitable Trust (Secretary), and RL and KH Maclellan Foundation (Vice-Chairman) (Chattanooga, TN). He also serves as a trustee to the Haldane Trust (Secretary) (Edinburgh, Scotland).
As a key opinion leader in the fields of healthcare technology, artificial intelligence, plastic surgery, dermatology, vascular anomalies and lymphedema, Dr. Maclellan frequently is invited to lecture both nationally and internationally. He completed a general surgery internship at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine Chattanooga. Dr. Maclellan then completed plastic surgery clinical and research fellowships at Harvard Medical School and Boston Children’s Hospital. Dr. Maclellan graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He received his M.D. from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. He earned a post-doctoral master’s degree in commercializing medicine from Harvard Business School and Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Maclellan, his wife Brooke, and their daughter split their time each month between their home on Lookout Mountain, TN and Boston, MA. They attend and are actively involved in Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church. The Maclellans enjoy traveling, experiencing different cultures and supporting the arts. They are both avid snow skiers.
