Mark Sargent

Dr. Mark Sargent has been the Provost at Westmont College since 2012. A graduate of UC Santa Barbara, he earned his master's degree and doctorate in English at The Claremont Graduate University, specializing in American literature. He taught as a Fulbright scholar at the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands and has written widely on history, literature, film, and higher education. After holding administrative roles at Biola University and Spring Arbor College, he served as provost of Gordon College in Massachusetts from 1996-2012. In 2008 the Council of Independent Colleges gave him the national Chief Academic Officers Award.

Brian McLaren is an author, speaker, activist, and networker among innovative faith leaders. His books include A New Kind of Christianity, A Generous Orthodoxy, Naked Spirituality, and Why Did Jesus, Moses, the Buddha, and Mohammed Cross the Road? He is a senior fellow with Auburn Seminary, and a board member and leader in Convergence Network, Center for Progressive Renewal, and Wild Goose Festival.

Dr. Jennifer Morse is the founder of the Ruth Institute, a global non-profit organization focused on keeping the family together, protecting the rights of children, and helping the millions of people who have been harmed by family breakdown. She has authored or co-authored four books and has spoken around the globe on marriage, family and human sexuality.

Norm Jones

Professor Norm Jones has been teaching theatre at Gordon College since 1985. In that time, he has directed 36 plays and has supervised 30 student-directed productions. His interest in encouraging the creation of new theatrical works has resulted in 15 premieres or commissioned plays. Professor Jones is also an actor and playwright. He has performed his original one-person script as Nathaniel Hawthorne in dozens of different settings.
