La Vida interns work alongside full-time La Vida staff in various program areas gaining experience in the planning, organization and implementation of our outdoor education programs. Each program area is different, but some job responsibilities include doing things like office work to prepare for the upcoming summer season, data entry, interviewing past staff or alumni, content creation for social media, planning and facilitation of school-year events, research, facilitating at the ropes course or rock gym, managing equipment, managing food, filing, phone calls to prospective groups, and assisting with special projects throughout the year. Each intern is expected to work 8-10 hours per week when classes are in session, with possible variations dependent on weather and special events. La Vida interns usually have primary responsibilities in one program area but may work across all programs and will report directly to one La Vida staff member.
