Connect with your cohort and pursue your studies in a hybrid approach. Students of Gordon's Theology for Community Transformation programs kick off Fall and Summer courses with a 4 day in-person intensive, while the remainder of the semester takes place asynchronously online. Our Spring courses are fully asynchronous online. Graduating Master of Arts students will take part in a 10-day international capstone trip.
Pricing for our Graduate Theology for Community Transformation is all-inclusive, with no added fees for meals or housing at intensives, or meals, hotels and flights associated with the capstone trip.
These intensives are formational events offering you the chance to connect with your professors, network with other faith leaders across New England, worship alongside your cohort and form deep, lasting connections to help guide you through your coursework.
Students will be housed in a local hotel, share meals in the cafeteria and attend two class sessions per day. Intensives total 15 hours of teaching time per class.
Fall 2025 Intensive: August 20—23
Summer 2026 Intensive: May 18—21
To conclude your Master of Arts degree, students will travel with their cohort to a part of the world that has shaped Christianity. The program visits Greece, Israel or Italy on a rotating basis. The cost of this trip is included in your tuition. There will be no financial surprises along the way.
Students delve into historical, social, and geographical contexts, fostering an appreciation for place and beauty in Christian thought. They gain tools for engaging contemporary debates and reflect on their journey in the program, culminating in a portfolio demonstrating competencies in community transformation, organizational systems and spiritual care.
