Through collaboration and partnership, our goal is to increase the employment of people with disabilities until it is equal to those without disabilities.
Work Without Limits programs and services are geared to meet the needs of businesses that actively recruit people with disabilities, individuals with disabilities who are seeking jobs, and the employment providers that serve them.
Direct referrals by academic counselors for career advising appointments starting in students’ first year to beyond graduation.
Specialized career resources for students with disabilities, international students and English Language Learners (ELL).
Helping students explore their choice of majors and occupations through tools like What Can I Do With This Major?
Other forms of exploration related to majors and minors include job shadowing, informational interviewing and immersion trips to organizations and events. Support for gaining workplace experience through campus jobs, internships, undergraduate research is available to help prepare students for transitions to the workplace and further education.
Offering career assessments through the Myers-Briggs Company platform “Elevate”. Currently ASC offers the MBTI© Career Report – Form M, the Strong Interest Inventory© Profile or the iStartStrong™ Report. Students or alumni can take the assessment and will then receive an interpretation of the assessment results through a meeting with a career professional in person or via telephone or video call.
