GCTS Courses and Requirements

Coursework that applies to your bachelor’s degree and M.Div. 
To get a better idea of which courses apply to your accelerated master’s degree at Gordon-Conwell, read through the dual credit course lists for either the biblical studies or Christian ministries majors. While both majors give you the opportunity to earn up to 24 bachelor’s and master’s credits (dual credits), each major program has its own set of course requirements.

Biblical Studies 

Biblical studies majors can receive dual credit for the following Gordon courses. Also, keep in mind that electives and Core courses are approved each year by the Divisional Chair. 

Dual credit 

  • New Testament (requires a final grade of B or above)
  • Old Testament (requires a final grade of B or above)
  • Greek/Hebrew (after passing competency exams)
  • Theology
  • Electives
  • Core classes


Christian Ministries 

Christian ministries majors can receive dual credit for the following courses. Also, keep in mind that electives and core courses are approved each year by the Divisional Chair. 

Dual credit 

  • New Testament (requires a final grade of B or above)
  • Old Testament (requires a final grade of B or above)
  • Spiritual formation
  • Evangelism/discipleship
  • Educational ministries
  • Greek/Hebrew (after passing competency exams)
  • Theology
  • Electives
  • Core classes

During your junior and senior years at Gordon, you can also take two seminary classes that will apply to your bachelor’s and master’s degree. This benefit is also available to students who are not intending to join the bachelor’s-to-master’s program.
