General Information

Theatre Experience Day is a fantastic opportunity for high school theatre students - actors, directors, designers and playwrights - to spend a day with Gordon Theatre Arts faculty and students, observing and participating in workshops and performances.

Enjoy a matinee performance at the Barrington Center for the Arts and experience the quality and power of our theatre productions. Gordon College's theatre has been named among the “Top 20 Best College Theatres” in America by The Princeton Review, ranking 18th among many larger and more prominent peer schools such as Brown, Williams and Columbia.

Whether you want to pursue a theatre major in college or just want to discover ways to continue in the performing arts during your college career, this is your chance to jump in and experience it now! You will learn firsthand just how exciting, inspiring and rewarding the theatre arts program at Gordon can be for you!

One of the most beloved and critically acclaimed musicals, Into the Woods provides a montage of fairy tale characters whose paths interwine as they chase their deepest hopes and dreams through an enchanted forest. When they find their happily ever after, they discover that "wishes come true, not free." Sondheim's words remind us to choose our paths thoughtfully and to remember that indeed, "no one is alone." Into the Woods is a musical that appeals to both the heart and the head.
