Gordon at Camp Berea Partnership

As organizations committed to serving Christians in New England, Camp Berea and Gordon College have partnered to offer a first-year professional learning opportunity that increases college affordability and provides experiential learning for students.

Live and Work at Berea While Starting Your Gordon Degree

The Gordon at Camp Berea Partnership allows students to live together in Christian community rent-free while developing their leadership skills in outdoor ministry and taking classes as full-time students at Gordon College, making solid progress toward their college degree. Students will matriculate as Gordon College students as they begin their one-year employment on-site at Camp Berea as Life Discipleship & Leadership (LDL) staff members, contributing to work in the office, programs, facilities, projects, housekeeping, kitchen and marketing. Students will then relocate to Gordon’s Wenham, MA, campus to complete their college degrees at the conclusion of their full-time employment at Camp Berea.


YEAR ONE:

  • Live rent-free at Camp Berea in Hebron, NH
  • Get paid to work full-time as a Berea Life Discipleship & Leadership staff member
  • Gain experience in operations, program and facilities management
  • Take Gordon College classes remotely or through weekend/weeklong intensives
  • Receive a $15,000 scholarship at Gordon

YEAR TWO THROUGH FOUR:

  • Transition to on-campus living at Gordon College in Wenham, MA
  • Receive the remaining $46,000 scholarship funds dispersed over your remaining years at Gordon
  • Complete your degree and graduate with meaningful, hands-on experience
