Mission, Outcomes, and Goals

Mission Statement

The Gordon College Calling and Career Conference seeks to advance each student’s preparation for entering a world of faithful work, service, and leadership by:

  • Exploring theology of vocation and calling
  • Discovering and understanding their strengths and how to use them in the college journey and the rest of their lives
  • Developing and practicing professional skills for engaging their world effectively

Conference Learning Outcomes

  • Students will be able to identify God’s calling and how that connects to their work in the world 
  • Students will be able to identify their strengths used in daily life
  • Students will produce a current resume which can be utilized for summer internships and other employment opportunities
  • Students will meet with alumni in industries of interest to learn more about various career paths
  • Students will develop networking and professional skills to equip them in the interview process for internships and jobs
  • Students will reflect on their personal and professional paths and establish internship/career goals
  • Students will leave the conference with a professional resume
