Be known in an inquisitive community of lifelong learners. Alongside invested faculty and peers, you’ll dive into the questions our world has been asking from the first century through the 21st century. And you’ll be challenged to expand your thinking further through intellectual mentorship and formation with a faculty member.
At Gordon, learning happens by doing. That’s why humanities students regularly pursue internships—at places like Hendrickson Publishers, NPR and Quarto Publishing. You may also choose to study abroad at our signature arts-focused program in Orvieto, Italy, or justice-focused program in the Balkans. On the side, you might join the creative writing trip to the Moth Story Hour, help run the Five Ponds Creative Writing Festival, glean wisdom from guest speakers through the Center for Faith and Inquiry, or pursue a host of honors tracks. Plus, Boston's historic North Shore in the heart of New England offers extraordinary beyond-the-classroom learning opportunities at historical sites, libraries, museums, Walden Pond and more.
In the end you’ll launch into a high-impact vocation and be part of a network of compassionate and committed alumni who are working to foster hopeful transformation for a hurting world.
“Being at Gordon has not just been my undergraduate education; it’s been absolutely life-changing.”
