We are thrilled to open applications for the A.J. Gordon Summer Missions Fellowship! This fellowship is a selective program for Gordon College Sophomores and Juniors who wish to develop their leadership skills and gain an international perspective by serving with a cross-cultural missionary or an indigenous Christian leader serving in a global agency somewhere in the world.
The fellowship covers an eight-or-more week internship during the summer months and is awarded to several students annually. Applications are currently open and will close on December 31, 2024. Check out the links below to learn more about the program and apply!

MASSACHUSETTS
The disability community is the largest group globally that remains underserved and largely unreached by the gospel. This issue is particularly significant in New England, which is home to six of the ten most post-Christian cities in the United States. About one in four people in New England has a disability, but when we look around in our churches and Christian communities, this is rarely reflected.
We are partnering with Joni and Friends New England to help address this issue. The vision of Joni and Friends is "a world where every person with a disability finds hope, dignity, and their place in the Body of Christ." In addition to providing resources and training to churches, one of the ways that Joni and Friends seeks to realize this vision is by organizing a family retreat - a summer camp where families who have a loved one with a disability are cared for, rejuvenated, and encouraged in Christ.
Our role during the week will be to come alongside these families to provide accessible fun and Christ-centered care and fellowship. There are opportunities to fill different roles, which include being a one-on-one buddy to a camper with a disability or a typically-developing sibling, youth program leader, photographer, worship/music leader, A/V tech, recreation/game team member, arts and crafts team member, Bible team member, and more. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with people in our region, many of whom often face isolation and rejection - even within Christian communities.
Applications are due by February 14, 2025.

ROMANIA
The Romania Missions Experience gives students the opportunity to serve in a highly unique global environment. Romania is situated in Eastern Europe, bordering countries as diverse as Ukraine, Hungary, Serbia, Bulgaria, and Moldova. Formerly part of the Soviet Bloc, Romania has faced grueling decades of Communist oppression. However, following the turn of the century, the country has experienced a stark shift toward globalization. Though Romania has traditionally been a strongly Orthodox-Christian country, it is now becoming increasingly secular and postmodern.
Serving in Romania this summer, you will gain experience by organizing an English summer camp for Romanians of varied language skill. You will be working closely alongside Romanian believers from all different walks of life and partnering with a local church. You will be surrounded by the natural beauty of the Apuseni Mountains. You will also partake in worship at a small Evangelical church in Timisoara, a key historical city and the starting place of the anticommunist Revolution of 1989. Additionally, you will develop a deeper knowledge of the history of this unique country by visiting important landmarks such as Bran Castle in Transylvania.
Applications are due by February 14, 2025.
Trip Dates: August 10 - August 20, 2025
Cost: Approx. $2,000 ($100 deposit due upon acceptance to the team)

UGANDA
Uganda, or the Pearl of Africa, is a land locked country in East Africa. We will be spending our time in Kyampisi, Uganda, which is a rural village located an hour northeast of Kampala. We will be partnering with Kyampisi Childcare Ministries, which is an organization that has a rehabilitation center for children rescued from child sacrifice, as well as a school, health clinic, and church. We will have many projects to complete during our time in Uganda.
Our primary goal will be to run a VBS for the children at the rehabilitation center, with a focus on English language learning. We will also be doing evangelism within the community with the pastors from the church. During the trip, we will have opportunities to learn about Ugandan culture through interaction with staff at KCM and members of the Kyampisi community as well as through trips to three major cities in Uganda: Kampala, Entebbe, and Jinja.
Applications are due by January 31, 2025.
