Overview
From the unique intricacies of the human nervous system to the awe-inspiring design of muscles, tendons and ligaments, the human body is filled with God’s handiwork.
When you learn human anatomy at Gordon, you’ll gain hands-on experience with human cadavers in our state-of-the-art college anatomy and physiology lab. This minor complements any concentration in Biology and Kinesiology majors and offers exceptional preparation for graduate school in medicine and other health fields.
Why study human anatomy at Gordon?
Gordon is New England’s only nationally ranked, multidenominational Christian college. Here, you’ll acquire an understanding of the human body at both the basic and advanced levels through faith-integrated, system-based regional anatomy courses.
Where most liberal arts schools do not go beyond the fundamentals in human anatomy courses, students at Gordon will be exposed to advanced cadaver-based study in the lab and learn how all parts of the body are interconnected.
What can Christians bring to human anatomy?
Christians who’ve studied human anatomy have an eye-opening perspective into how we are fearfully and wonderfully made. It is through this understanding they can embrace an on-mission approach to their work—ultimately helping treat, heal and improve the lives of people from all walks of life.
