About:
Professor Markley has held many executive positions overseeing the financial, operational and business development for both public and private corporations. He began his managerial career as a Division Manager for the Los Angeles based Santee-Knudsen Dairies Corp, #1 manufacturer of dairy foods in California. A few years later, he was recruited by Fortune 500 company ConAgra Foods to lead the launch of a segment of Healthy Choice products into the California market. After a successful launch for ConAgra, he was recruited by Wells Enterprises as a Region Manager, and three years later he was promoted to Division Manager with responsibility over all financial and business operations in the Western U.S.
Professor Markley holds two master’s degrees, a certificate in teaching in higher education, and a doctorate in business administration with a focus on accounting. Professor Markley’s research interests involve the intersection of effective college teaching and learning methods and accounting and finance topics.
