Bio
Professor Redington's teaching and research interests are motivated by one question: How do arguments work? Although he is interested in the history of how different thinkers in the Western tradition have answered this question, Professor Redington focuses on the current difficulties that arise in arguments between technical experts and those who are not. In his teaching, Professor Redington helps students use writing to navigate a world filled with controversy and complexity. In writing centers, he helps writers and tutors connect over common interests and goals. Professor Redington loves to BBQ and watch baseball.
