Overview
Pastoring, or shepherding, means caring for God’s people and walking alongside them in their Christian formation. With our pastoral ministries minor from Gordon College, you can actively engage and care for others around you as you learn about the theoretical, philosophical, biblical and theological foundations of discipleship.
Why study pastoral ministries at Gordon?
Gordon’s Christian ministries faculty are committed to ensuring that you not only study about ministry during your time at Gordon, but that you also engage in ministry in preparation for lifelong Christian service. Using decades of ministry experience, our will lead you in an extensive study of Scriptures alongside theological reflection on faith and life. Learn to hear God’s voice, expand your vision of God’s world and extend compassion for those needing God’s love.
How can studying pastoral ministries help you be a difference-maker for Christ?
Caring for people takes many forms. You could work for a nonprofit and care for people suffering from addiction or join a local community development team in your community. Pastors also preach, teach and lead ministries for young adults, aging generations or children. Discover how you can embody God’s transforming, reconciling and peacemaking love for the people in your community.
