Global Christianity

Overview

A global Christianity minor from Gordon College will help you examine the biblical foundations of Christian missions as you evaluate the people and movements from history that have accelerated—and hampered—the spread of the gospel. Learn about the issues facing the global church today by deepening your understanding of non-Western cultures and diverse Christian experiences.

Why study global Christianity at Gordon?

Over 90% of Gordon students are involved in on and off campus ministries, and you’ll find opportunities to explore national and international mission and service experiences through winter, spring and summer break trips. Our faculty will lead you in an extensive study of the Bible and theological reflection on faith and life. Learn to discern God’s voice and expand your vision of God’s love for people around the globe.

How can studying Global Christianity help you be a difference-maker for Christ?

The church is growing quickly in Africa, Latin America and Asia. Studying global Christianity will help you explore these movements alongside the historical development of Christianity. As you gain new experiences in mission and service, you'll be prepared to respond to the Great Commission (Matthew 28) and Great Compassion (Matthew 25).
