Why study biblical studies at Gordon?

Alongside your professors you’ll engage the Bible by learning to ask good questions, employing interpretive methods, studying historical and sociological contexts and paying careful attention to interpretation throughout Church history. Our faculty hold degrees in a variety of scholarly backgrounds and bring insights from experiences in ministry, research and world travel.

You can also further your education in our unique ministry programs. Dokes Ministry Scholars is a five-year, dual-degree program offering a B.A. in either biblical studies or Christian ministries from Gordon College and an M.Div. or M.A. from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Our Master of Arts in Theology for Community Transformation will prepare you for effective leadership through real-world ministry experiences and expert training.

How can biblical studies help you be a difference-maker for Christ?

The biblical studies major will equip you to bring life-giving hope and healing as you help people meet the challenges of our complex world.
