Summer Term courses at Gordon College are open to current college students, qualified high school students, professionals seeking broader educational preparation and residents of the Greater North Shore Community.

Many of our courses are conveniently available online for distance learners. Others are offered from our beautiful suburban campus, convenient to the Grapevine Road exit from Route 128 in Wenham.

6-week (May 13–June 22)
8-week (May 13-July 6)

Summer II:

4-week (July 1–July 27)
6-week (July 1–August 10)

Why Summer Term?

  • Complete a core course over the summer or pursue an interest
  • Earn your degree sooner and potentially graduate early
  • Take the same courses at a greatly reduced tuition rate

What you need to know:

Registration
Registration for Summer Term starts in November and will remain open until early May (closed during Christmas break). Self-register as soon as you decide to take a course, after consulting with your academic advisor. The minimum enrollment required for a class to be held is normally five to six students. Most classes start immediately after graduation and will generally be finished in June, so you still have time to work that great summer job or internship.

Costs
Tuition is $555 per credit hour ($2,220 for a 4-credit course), a reduced rate since financial aid is NOT available. Tuition for courses taken for enrichment only (audited without credit) is $277 per credit. There are fees associated with lab and field science or studio art courses ($190 for most courses).

The course experience
Courses are configured to require your full-time attention and are often intensive due to the condensed timeline. Because of this, it's recommended that most students should take only one course at a time. Consult with your academic advisor before registering for more than one class. Online courses require high-speed internet connection and a computer with the capacity to efficiently download and run any programs that may be used in the course.
