International Student Orientation

August 8 – August 22, 2025

From arrival and move-on, to a series of friendship-building activities, our mission is to facilitate meaningful connections, cultivate community and promote character formation. Through workshops, reflective outdoor learning and goal-setting, we hope to prepare you for success starting on the very first day of classes.

What you will gain from International Student Orientation:

  • You will get to connected with our ISO family and build lasting friendships
  • You will learn about your campus resources, including but not limited to:
    • Enhancing your intercultural competencies
    • Academic Success Center
    • English Language Learner (ELL)
    • Koinonia Mentorship Peer Mentors program
    • SEVIS/F-1 Visa guidance

New Student Welcome Week:

This is the General Orientation for all students that international students will join.

Please bookmark the Gordon College Four-Year Academic Calendar for the exact dates of important events like the first day of class and the last day of final exams. Final exam dates and times are not flexible; do not book travel before your final exams are completed.
