Moderate Disabilities Education

Overview

The moderate disabilities concentration provides educators with evidence-based strategies to support students with moderate learning disabilities in inclusive classrooms across grades PreK–2, PreK–8 and 5–12. Master strong methods of practice, structured literacy approaches, differentiated instruction and use of assistive technology. Graduate prepared to make a difference for all learners.

As you pursue a professional license in moderate disabilities, you may include courses to receive a Wilson Reading Systems Certificate. Teachers desiring to work with children who have learning disabilities may choose to seek this master's degree. This license meets the needs of teachers teaching at all levels. Research-based strategies for working with children who have disabilities in the inclusion classroom are modeled and emphasized throughout the program.
