Overview

The Master of Education and Educational Specialist in English as a Second Language degree programs offer a comprehensive curriculum designed to equip educators with knowledge and skills to effectively teach English to learners in grades PreK–6 and 5–12. Core courses provide a strong foundation in language acquisition, culturally responsive teaching and effective instructional strategies.

The program equips teachers with tools to address complex literacy challenges. Students will learn to support students with language challenges and disabilities, differentiate instruction for struggling learners and foster culturally responsive classrooms. This comprehensive approach ensures that educators are well prepared to meet the diverse needs of English language learners.
