Ignite a passion for science in young minds with Gordon College's Master of Education (M.Ed.) in General Science (Grades 5–8). This program prepares aspiring and practicing educators to achieve initial or professional licensure, equipping them with broad scientific knowledge and effective teaching skills to inspire the next generation of scientists and innovators.

A Foundation in Diverse Scientific Disciplines

Our engaging curriculum provides a comprehensive overview of key scientific concepts across disciplines. Explore the interconnectedness of scientific principles through courses covering life science, physical science, earth and space science and the process of scientific inquiry itself. This breadth of knowledge will empower you to create dynamic and engaging learning experiences for your students. While the program focuses on general science, there is related coursework in biology, physics and chemistry.
