Overview

Our rigorous Master of Education in English program is designed to equip aspiring educators with skills and knowledge to become certified English teachers for grades 5–12. By combining evidence-based literacy methods with cutting-edge curriculum design, the program fosters critical thinking, effective communication and a deep understanding of English language arts.

The program includes courses that explore how to effectively integrate technology into English language arts instruction, enhancing student engagement and literacy skills. Students will also delve into the works of renowned Nobel Prize-winning authors, gaining a global perspective on literature and its impact on society. Additionally, we offer courses that develop a sophisticated understanding of poetic forms, techniques and critical analysis of literary works. Finally, students will explore the structure, history and evolution of language, providing a foundation for effective language teaching and learning.

Graduates of this program will be prepared to inspire and empower the next generation of readers and writers, helping them develop a lifelong love of learning and appreciation for literature.
