Arts Education

Overview

The Arts Education program offers a comprehensive curriculum that explores visual arts for grades PreK–6 and 5–12. Students can delve into traditional techniques like drawing, painting and sculpture, as well as contemporary mediums such as photography, digital art and mixed media. Course titles include Experimental Drawing; Modern Art Seminar; Art, Light and Glass; Artistic Behavior; and Photography II with Lab. The program emphasizes both technical skills and critical thinking, providing students with a strong foundation for a successful career as art educators.

Through rigorous coursework, hands-on experiences and mentorship from experienced educators, you'll develop a deep understanding of art history, theory and practice. You'll also learn effective teaching strategies to inspire creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving in your students. Our program offers a comprehensive and enriching experience for aspiring art educators.
