About:
Heidi Mongeau's passion for teaching and learning has inspired her to teach at various levels in public education. She started her career as a middle school social studies teacher where she taught World History, American History and Civics. After 12 years at the middle school level, she took a new position as a high school teacher. During her four year tenure in this position, Heidi taught various courses including; American History, Youth and Law, Sociology and Current Affairs. After completing her Master's degree in Education at Gordon, Heidi took courses in educational leadership through Gordon and became licensed as a principal. Immediately after receiving her license, she became the assistant principal of Georgetown Middle High School.
In addition to the above roles, Heidi has been an adjunct professor at Gordon College teaching various education courses for ten years. As a Gordon alumna, Heidi enjoys being part of the Graduate Education program: "I am truly blessed to be a part of an amazing team of educators who continually make every effort to empower new teachers with the tools necessary to make a difference in today's classrooms."
