Gordon College's Montessori Education program provides educators with Montessori credentials the opportunity to further their education to a master's degree, advance their knowledge, and prepare to teach students with diverse needs in a Montessori school. If a student would like to seek an M.Ed. in Montessori, but does not hold a Montessori credential, we will connect them with one of our partner programs, Montessori Institute – New England, New England Montessori Teacher Education Center, or Northeast Montessori Institute.
Individuals who successfully complete this degree program will be eligible to enroll in an additional sequence of courses at Gordon College to qualify for Massachusetts teacher licensure.
Concentrations in Infant/Toddler (birth - age 3) and Early Childhood (ages 3 - 6) are available.

"I chose Gordon because of their relationship with Harborlight Montessori School and affiliation with the Montessori Institute—New England.
All of my professors have been extremely current in their research and each class has been designed to be thought-provoking and give practical use in the classroom. I am constantly incorporating techniques and ideas from my coursework into my classroom.
Instructors truly care about the kind of teachers that they are creating. Compassion, pride, professionalism, and hard work ethics have always been addressed in each of my courses."
