About:
Dr. Ashigbi joined the Kinesiology faculty at Gordon College in 2024 and he is currently teaching courses that focus on the biomechanics of human movement as well as the practical application of Sports and Exercise Science to enhance physical performance and improve health. His research is focused on the prevention and rehabilitation of athletic injuries/reinjuries of the lower extremity, mobility disability and access to the built environment as well as physical activity and non-communicable diseases. Dr. Ashigbi’s current research interests are in the development of effective return to sports (RTS) clearance strategies following anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury to improve RTS outcomes in athletic populations.
