Strategic Communication

Overview

Strategic communication is all about sending the right message to the right audience at the right time. Our strategic communication minor will refine your skills with a focus on messaging and strategy through the lens of faith. Armed with these skills you’ll learn how to bring any organization where you work to success through carefully crafted strategy.

Why study strategic communication at Gordon?

This minor is part of the Adams School of Music and the Arts because strategic communication, at its core, is the art of visual storytelling. You’ll gain experience working with a range of media, including print, digital and film, as you design brand strategies, deliver presentations and create compelling content. You’ll also benefit from an extensive alumni base, internships and mentorship opportunities in the Greater Boston area and across the country to help you grow in your career.

What can Christians bring to strategic communication?

In a hurried, breaking news-driven world, it’s easy to become overwhelmed and disengaged. Grounded in their faith and a Christ-centered worldview, Christians can help make clear that which appears unclear. By focusing on how a message impacts others, Christians can apply a human-centered, compassion-driven focus to their work.
