Overview
Gordon College’s Bachelor of Arts in music is an excellent option for students wishing to pursue a liberal arts degree with a broad music focus. It is also a versatile degree, allowing for double majors and study abroad.
Not only will you have freedom to thrive as a Christ-reflecting creator, balancing passions for music and liberal arts, but you’ll also be prepared for a wide range of careers and graduate programs. At Gordon you’ll study music history, theory and composition; refine your musicianship on your principal instrument; and engage in a variety of performing ensembles. Hone your specialty with two concentrations:
- Music composition: Discover and develop your original, creative voice while refining your musical skills within a comprehensive liberal arts curriculum.
- Music in worship: Pair your passion to serve with training in excellent musicianship as you build a foundation for successful worship leadership.
