Rhythms of the Week
Take a step with us. Step into lakeside journaling, cucumber salad creating, and Boston road trip karaoke-ing. Step into faculty workshops and fun-filled dinner conversations. Step into a new rhythm of life.
Here at Heritage, we focus on life’s little steps: habits. We model to one another how a joyful, Jesus-rich life can be lived every day. We dig into God’s Word every morning, experience His creation and look for His faithfulness in our lives every afternoon, and celebrate together in small groups every evening. We build friendships. We create beautiful things. We feast.
This summer, step out to the North Shore of Massachusetts. Step into a week of laughter-filled, Christ-seeking practices with new friends.
Renewal awaits.
Habits in Community
Heritage is a place and a people.
Habits in Community: Residential Living, Cultural Excursions, House Competitions
Welcome to a way of existing together modeled after the way of Jesus. At Heritage, we explore our common identity as creations of the Lord while highlighting the particular ways God has designed each of us to be valuable contributors to this shared story. Gathering in community united in purpose is powerful. It is in this context that we find ourselves pulled further into transformation. We each offer a unique perspective to the whole when we show up as ourselves.
Habits of Creativity
Heritage is a space for healthy struggle.
Habits of Creativity: Faculty Workshops, Aesthetics Workshops
We were made in the image of a Creator God who calls us to fill the earth with beautiful things as we gaze upon and reflect His beauty. We have settled for lesser pleasures that diminish our view of self and the world. It is in acts of creating and reordering raw materials that we find our desires reshaped for the better. In this process, we will run up against weaknesses. However, at Heritage, we wrestle with our limits within a safe environment for the purpose of deep formation.
Habits of Hospitality
Heritage is an invitation to welcome.
Habits of Hospitality: Cooking Classes, Aesthetics Workshops, Dinner Hosting
In a divine act of hospitality, God created humanity for loving communion with Himself. He generously shared what He had created. As ones who have been hosted so well, we have the privilege of welcoming others. We practice this radical hospitality every day at Heritage by setting the ever-expanding table of Jesus for guests who become friends.
Habits of Reflection
Heritage is an opportunity to re-evaluate.
Habits of Reflection: Morning Assembly Devotional, Solo Time, Small Groups
What we behold is what we become. In other words, the things we pay most attention to are what will end up forming who we are. What we believe about ourselves and the world around us deeply informs how we act. Heritage offers a space for you to evaluate your core beliefs and renew your commitment to them for the sake of empowered living. If transformation comes through renewing the mind, then we say renewal comes by way of reflection.
