ELL Information
Gordon College’s Core Curriculum provides students with a foundational perspective on Christian life and learning. However, the reading, writing and class discussion expectations of these classes can be overwhelming for students who are new to American culture and are experiencing classes in a language different than their native language. The ASC offers various resources to support these students in their transition to American academics.
English Language Learner Academic Counselor
In the ASC, international students can meet with an academic counselor for support with academic reading and writing in English or to discuss issues such as study strategies and time management skills. Certain accommodations may also be available through the ASC for qualified non-native English speakers. Contact Judy Swanson, ELL Academic Counselor for more information: 978.867.4716.
